Bernafon Waxstop is made of a protective material that counteracts harmful particles such as dirt and moisture in your hearing aid. So, your hearing aid is protected by the wax filter, and reduces the number of necessary repairs and thus prolongs its lifetime. So, with Bernafon Waxstop, you can save both time and money. To achieve the optimal effect, the filters must be replaced every four weeks. 

 

The Waxstop filter is easy to change. The filters are mounted on a tool to remove the used filter. The new filter is placed at the opposite end of the tool and is easily inserted right after the old one has been removed. Bernafon Waxstop is used for both in-ear devices and hearing aids with external receivers and is compatible with several different hearing aids from Bernafon.

To replace the Bernafon WaxStop wax filter: 

  1. Take a WaxStop from the box. The tool has two ends, one with a new filter and one with tools to remove the filter. 
  2. Insert the tool into the audio output of the device. 
  3. Slowly pull out the used WaxStop filter while keeping it straight. 
  4. Turn the tool 180 degrees. 
  5. Install the new filter in the audio output and carefully remove the tool. 
  6. Dispose of the used tool – do not reuse it.
